The IWA Outdoor Classics 2018 just concluded in Nuremberg, Germany and Sellmark had a successful show!
In its 45th year, IWA Outdoor Classics is an international hunting, shooting sports, outdoor activities and security trade show. This year’s show hosted 1,558 exhibitors and received 47,000 visitors to see new products, find solutions and make deals.
The IWA Outdoor Classics trade show started in 1974 by the Association of German Gunsmiths and Gun Traders and sponsored by the German Firearms and Ammunition Manufacturers Association. It has grown exponentially, with the recent addition of 200 blade and knife makers and vendors.
The Sellmark team had a packed schedule! Meetings began as soon as the doors opened at 9:00 am Friday, March 9. People from the neighboring booths commented on how busy we were all weekend.
Barry Daly, Sellmark OOD Marketing Manager met with major publishing houses from Germany, France, the UK, Italy and Spain. Prior to the show, Sellmark ran ads that reached 1,200 dealers in Germany. We are excited about our expansion in the European market.
Though Europe is much more restrictive when it comes to gun ownership, there are avid shooters, hunters and competitors in Europe that make shooting firearms more than just a hobby. We reached out to the international media and influencers to invite them to come meet the team and learn about Pulsar, Sightmark, Firefield and 12 Survivors new products.
Some of Europe’s biggest shooting sports social media celebrities stopped by to say hi. Including Instructor Zero, and Polenar Tactical’s team Ziga, Samo, and Manca stopped by. We met with Martin Sendlbeck from the German website, Spartan AT. Martin has previously posted reviews of Sightmark products and is interested in conducting more.
The Polenar Tactical team is a group of gun enthusiasts who promote safe and responsible gun ownership, but also have a bit of fun with a creative and knowledge media staff.

Spartanat.com is a German website devoted to firearms and the shooting sports. Martin from the site has reviewed Sightmark products on their YouTube channel.
Sellmark was also visited by Huntresses Larysa Switlyk and Michaela Fialova. Larysa is the TV show host of Larysa Unleased.
